Exilis™ therapy is a non-surgical treatment designed to rejuvenate skin and reduce localized areas of fat. As a minimally-invasive liposuction alternative for patients with moderate areas of fat buildup, Exilis™ therapy uses radiofrequency energy to heat underlying skin tissues and fat cells, ultimately helping to diminish signs of wrinkles and small, stubborn fat pockets on your body. Dr. Nicholas Sieveking, our board-certified plastic surgeon, is highly-experienced in non-surgical cosmetic treatments and can often utilize this advanced procedure to tighten skin and reduce excess fat on your face, neck, stomach, hips, buttocks, thighs, and more. Additionally, there is typically no pain, scarring, or downtime associated with Exilis™ therapy at our Nashville, Tennessee practice.
Benefits of Exilis™ Therapy
Exilis™ therapy has a number of advantages over other surgical fat reducing and skin tightening procedures. Some key benefits of Exilis™ therapy include:
Improves skin tightness and elasticity
Reduces and contours localized areas of fat
Non-surgical, minimally-invasive method
Virtually painless treatment (no anesthetic required)
Typically no scarring
Generally no downtime after treatment
Ultimately, Exilis™ therapy can help you rejuvenate your skin and achieve moderate body contouring goals with beautiful, natural-looking results.
The Exilis™ Procedure
Exilis™ therapy can be performed without anesthesia, right here in our office. During your procedure, Dr. Sieveking will utilize radiofrequency energy to target wrinkles or fat cells with state-of-the-art technology. For wrinkle treatment, the radiofrequency waves heat the underlying layers of skin which effectively smooths the skin and stimulates new collagen growth for a more youthful appearance. For fat reduction, the radiofrequency waves heat the targeted area of fat in order to shrink and eliminate the fat cells to produce a more aesthetically-pleasing contour.
The entire treatment can be completed in about 30 to 45 minutes depending on your needs. For optimal results, several treatments over the course of about six weeks may be necessary. Following your procedure, you can expect minor redness and swelling, but you will typically be able to return to your normal daily activities immediately. Results will continue to improve over time and tend to be long-lasting.
